AUTOMOBILES.

After Newcomen have invented his steam working-machine in 1712, many attempts were made to use this new invention instead of the horse towing the vehicle. but this was not really achieved until James Watt has invented his steam engine, the more efficient and much capable. the first vehicle was auto-managed from the hands of the French Nicola Conio in 1769, ever since many types of vehicles showed up working with the steam engine.

Marcos Vehicle

The horseless vehicles appeared exactly in 1890, there were two engineers called Tomas Telford and John MacAdam have developed a few methods to implement the roads for horse tractor vehicles, which was an advantage for the steam engine working vehicles.

The first steam engine vehicles looked like horse vehicles in the beginning. reaching speed limit of 50 km/hour carrying goods and people, then came a forcing law in Britain that forced the steam vehicles to adapt its speed to a limit of 4 to 6 km/hour and a man

in the 19th century, the designers turned to design light vehicles, easy to maneuvering, which was difficult to accomplish because the vehicle needed so much coal, furnace, and a boiler. 

After the oil processing industry was invented and the fuel was produced like kerosene & benzene, the steam engine was exchanged with the benzene engine with internal combustion. the huge success of the internal combustion engine by the French Etienne Lenoir have encouraged the German inventor Nicolaus

Auto to develop the 4-stroke internal combustion engine in 1878.

The first practical benzene cars in Germany was produced and exported to Britain in 1889 when the maximum speed limit for automobile crossing the road was 2 to 19 km/hour.

Until the beginning of the 20th century, steam engines took place among new invented vehicles on the roads, the Stanley brothers have produced their automobile "Stanley Rocket" in 1906 which could record a speed limit of 2, 203 km/hour, but the steam engine automobiles disappeared gradually because it was considered useless and highly costing.

A few enhancements were made on the oil working engines automobiles between the period of 1907 to 1930 when Sir Henry Royce produced the "Silver Ghost" car in 1907, Henry Ford produced the cheap " Ford T" in 1908, also the car chassis became much stronger and slight, Separate suspension system was inserted, the gearbox, anti-shock, Windshield wipers and the speedometer.

Since 1930 a few enhancements were added included the auto-gears & safety lockers, Wankle rotating engine.

The first Electric car has appeared in 1890 after Gaston Plant has invented the Battery, it was very popular at this time but it needed to recharge after a small distance and when the automatic ignition of the Gasoline cars was invented, the Electric cars were ignored and its role was limited to small transportation automobiles. but the electric cars came back to minds in the modern world in order to avoid pollution that overwhelmed our skies and we hope the project of electric cars meets large contribution.
