Before the printer, the human used to print the books by his own hands, and the copier had to spend months just making copies of the author's original book.
The printer was invented by the hands of the ancient Chinese 2000 years in its modest form. they were just bringing a wooden block then start sculpture the alphabet on it, then paint the blocks with ink then start printing on each paper. and that was also slow and costly.
In the 15th century, the German Printer "Johan Gutenberg" a way that made printing much faster and much cheaper, Gutenberg started to make separate characters that can be housed on a plate of wood on the same level to form words and even whole paragraph. then the plate painted with ink and then they stick a paper on it then he used a piston to remove the characters used in the past paragraph and form another one then print again. but that was also slow and not affordable.
"Lorance coaster" from Netherland, "Nicolai Johnson" the French and "William Caxton" who have learned the printing in Cologn in Germany and returned back home in Westminister in England.
In the next 500 years that followed Gutenberg, the printing techniques were enhanced by many enhancements like in the writing speed and quality of the printing, capitals are not composed by hand except in special cases but composed by larger equipment and keyboards like in the writing machines in the early of 20 century. and these machines compose the characters automatically in lines or on films using Typography printers whether with templates or photography.
These Typographies used in huge printing machines which are powered by electricity. and these printing machines can print thousands of papers per hour.
There are 3 types of Printing:
1- Litteral printing
2- Optical printing
3- Typography printing
and also there are 2 types of printing machines:
1- Plate fed - the machine is fed with paper plates automatically to print each paper solely.
2- File fed the Machine is fed with a paper roller of contiguous papers.
